Marcy heard someone crying pitifully near her door. It turned out to be a cat named Murka who lived in the neighbouring yard—she had lost her kittens.
Marcy decided to help her neighbour and asked what they looked like. Murka said they were beautiful and fluffy. The cats set off to search, and along the way they met an orange tom cat named Timothy with some kittens.
He explained that the mischievous kittens had chased after some playful mice and gotten lost. They had wandered for a long time through unfamiliar streets until they met kind Timothy, who decided to help them.
The cats thanked the helpful tom cat, and explained to the kittens that they were still very small and it was too early and dangerous for them to go out without their mother.
Marcy gave the kittens some balls and toy mice to play with.
She invited her new friends over to visit and treated them to delicious sour cream.
