Once upon a time a little tiger came to be.
He was as lovely as a small child.
And his mom and dad became so proud of he,
Not knowing what he'd grow to be, so wild.
And as the tiger cub grew up, he loved to play and tease,
And over all his friends he'd joke with ease.
And so one day this little cub decided on a whim,
To play a trick on Leo, his friend so dear to him.
He brought a big box over and said, "My friend, take this!"
And Leo looked upon the box, not wanting to miss.
Leo stood up, took the box, opened it with care, and cried out loud.
Inside there was a cactus there, and Leo shrieked, quite proud.
The tiger cub laughed hard, holding his belly tight, while Leo looked so sad.
"Why did you do this? It hurts me so!" But his friend just laughed, quite mad.
Leo put the box down and took the cactus with him as he went.
He walked away, filled with hurt, his feelings all spent.
The tiger cub stood up and saw the lion walking near the hill.
He ran after him, caught up, and stood before him still.
He saw the tears upon his friend's face, and felt such shame.
He hugged the lion and said, "Forgive me, I'm to blame!"
From that day on the tiger cub became a different friend,
He joked with kindness, on that you can depend.
With Leo as his brother, their bond grew ever strong,
And life became much brighter as they walked along.
