A hedgehog lived in the forest. On a beautiful, sunny day, the hedgehog set out for a walk and to gather some mushrooms.
He walks along, listening to the birds chirping. He watches as they fly from tree to tree, from pine to pine.
The hedgehog asked the birds: "Please tell me, little birds, where is the clearing with mushrooms? I want to stock up for winter. You fly high. You can see far and know everything."
The birds chirped even louder and flew faster from tree to tree, from pine to pine.
The hedgehog kept up with them, following along. He hummed along with them. He became so absorbed that he didn't notice when he came out into a clearing. And there... Mushrooms as far as the eye could see!
The hedgehog was delighted. He began to gather mushrooms and thank the birds. Now the hedgehog would have something to eat in winter.
