Kitten Marcy, flipping through a French fashion magazine, spotted a beautiful hat with wide brim and rooster feathers on the page.
As she finished looking through the magazine, she decided she absolutely had to sew herself the same hat. But the little kitten didn't know where to get rooster feathers.
Kitten Vasya advised her to visit Rooster Peter to convince him to give her rooster feathers from his magnificent tail.
Marcy hurries to the Rooster, hoping he won't refuse her. Peter greeted the kitten warmly and listened to her request. He said in surprise:
But what about me? If I give you my feathers, I'll look like a hen!
Then Marcy suggested to the rooster:
I'll embroider a silk tail for you myself with colorful threads. You'll like it.
Alright, I'll give you the feathers, but only after you bring me the embroidered tail. I need to try it on.
Peter agreed. Marcy's magical paws worked a miracle: the tail shimmered with all the colors of the rainbow.
Not a tail, but a sight to behold, better than the real thing.
The Rooster marvels, examining the embroidered tail.
Marcy, you've earned the feathers, take them.
Peter offers his feathers wholeheartedly, extending them to the Kitten.
All of Marcy's girlfriends admired the new hat with delight.
