And so beautiful autumn has come to us. She painted the trees with bright colours, dried the leaves beneath our feet, and blessed everyone with a rich harvest. And she didn't forget about the sporty children, of course. She gave them warm, quiet, sunny weather.
At the sports stadium, preparations are underway for a competition, for a sports marathon. The athletics coach watches to make sure the children run correctly:
Vasya, look ahead, chin up! Petya, keep your back straight, don't lean forward! Masha, spring more with your legs, don't take wide strides! Ira, help yourself, swing your arms more!
The children run around the circular track, trying their best. They develop a strong character and gain willpower.
And nearby on a bench sits Naughty and watches:
Who should I befriend? Who should I be difficult with? I'll go to Ira, she came last to the finish line.
Hello, Ira! Does it upset you to be last? So what if they're fast! Don't be friends with them, let's go and be offended at everyone.
Naughty said, gently hugged Ira and pulled her towards the bench. But unexpectedly Ira pushed her hand away:
Today I'm last, but tomorrow I'll come first! I will try very hard.
She declared stubbornly.
Autumn was delighted that Ira answered like that, and gave her rosy cheeks so that Ira would be even more beautiful.
Naughty sighed heavily and went back to her bench:
It's boring to sit alone and do nothing.
She sees Vasya stumble and fall on the running track.
Aha, now I'll befriend him.
Naughty thought and approached Vasya and asked:
Why aren't you crying, not screaming? Or doesn't it hurt?
It hurts a lot, but I know how to endure.
Why endure, silly, cry louder, stamp your feet. Then they'll feel sorry for you and give you a medal.
No, athletes don't cry, and medals are given for achievements. Go away Naughty, I won't be friends with you.
Well, I don't really need to!
Naughty snapped back and walked away.
Autumn blew a warm breeze on Vasya's wound, and the sun's rays soothed it. The pain subsided.
Naughty sits on the bench again and watches as the children train, Petya overtakes Masha. And a cunning plan ripened in her soul.
Naughty caught up with Masha and whispered in her ear:
Push Petya to the side, and you'll come first.
Masha did just that, pushed Petya. Petya couldn't hold on, twisted his ankle and fell.
Masha came first and waited for praise and reward. But the coach, for some reason, looked at her angrily. And autumn frowned. Dark clouds covered the sky, it grew dark around.
Only Naughty praised Masha:
Well done, clever girl, that's how you should do it, win at any cost.
Masha turned around and saw Petya sitting on the ground, unable to get to his feet.
And Naughty whispers:
He's to blame himself, couldn't hold on, weakling!
Masha felt sorry for Petya, she timidly approached him and asked:
Does it hurt badly? Let me help.
Masha held out her hand to her friend. Petya took it, tried to get to his feet, but couldn't hold on, fell and groaned in pain.
I can't put weight on my left leg.
Forgive me, please, Petya! Forgive me, I didn't think it would turn out like this.
The coach came over, picked up Petya and carried him to the medical station. Masha stood motionless in confusion: "What have I done???" — kept running through her head.
Don't worry so much! The main thing is you came first, be happy!
Her newly made friend tried to cheer her up.
But there was no joy in Masha's heart, on the contrary, only bitterness and heaviness from her own actions.
I don't need a victory at such a cost! Go away Naughty, you bring nothing but trouble!!!
Masha cried. No one wanted to be friends with Naughty, so she suffers, looking for new friends. And when she finds them, autumn cries, flooding the earth with rain.
