Cat Marcy, flipping through a French fashion magazine, spotted a beautiful hat with wide brim and rooster feathers on the page.
Finishing her look through the magazine, she decided that she absolutely must sew herself such a hat. Only the little cat didn't know where she could get rooster feathers.
Kitten Vasya advised her to visit Rooster Peter to persuade him to gift her rooster feathers from his luxurious tail.
Marcy hurries to the Rooster hoping that he won't refuse her. Peter greeted the little cat warmly and listened to her request. He said in surprise:
But what about me? If I give you my feathers, I'll look like a hen!
Then Marcy offered the rooster:
I'll embroider a silk tail for you myself with colourful threads. You'll like it.
Alright, I'll give you the feathers, but only after you bring me the embroidered tail. I must try it on.
Peter agreed. Marcy's magical paws worked a miracle: the tail shimmered with all the colours of the rainbow.
Not a tail, but a sight to behold, better than the real thing.
The Rooster marvels, examining the embroidered tail.
Marcy, you've earned the feathers, take them.
Peter offers his feathers with all his heart, extending them to the little Cat.
All of Marcy's girlfriends admired her new hat with delight.
