Marcy heard someone crying pitifully outside her door. It turned out to be a cat named Murka who lived in the neighbouring yard, and she had lost her kittens.
Marcy decided to help her neighbour and asked what they looked like. Murka said they were beautiful and fluffy. The cats set off to search, and on the way they met a ginger tom cat named Timothy with some kittens.
He explained that the mischievous kittens had chased after some playful young mice and got lost. They had wandered for a long time through unfamiliar streets until they met kind-hearted Timothy, who decided to help them.
The cats thanked the helpful tom cat, and explained to the kittens that they were still very young and it was too early and dangerous for them to go out without their mother.
Marcy gave the kittens some balls and toy mice to play with.
She invited her new friends to visit her and treated them to delicious sour cream.
