Once upon a time a young tiger came to be.
He was as lovely as a small child.
And his mom and dad became so proud of he,
Not knowing what he'd grow to be, meanwhile.
And the young tiger grew, he loved to play around,
And over his friends he was always quick to jest.
And so one day this youngster thought he'd play a prank on his friend Leo, he found,
And what came of it we should put to the test.
He brought a great big box, and said: "My friend, now hold this tight!"
And Leo looked upon it so, lifting his head up right.
Leo stood up, took it quick, opened it, grabbed and cried out.
There was a cactus there, it stuck its spine, and Leo let out a shout.
The young tiger laughed, holding his belly with glee, while Leo looked on sadly.
"Why did you do that? It hurts me so!" But his friend lay there laughing madly.
Leo set down the box, and took the cactus with him as he went.
He walked away, filled with hurt and with resentment.
The young tiger stood up, saw the lion, walking along with the mountain so high.
He ran after him, caught up, stood before him like a wall nearby.
His friend had tears upon his cheek, the tiger could see it clear.
He hugged the lion and said: "Forgive me, I'm ashamed, my dear!"
From that day on the young tiger became a different one,
He joked, but in a kinder way.
He and Leo became such friends, and life became more fun,
And everything became more bright and gay.
