It's already the last days of December on the calendar, and soon it will be New Year's and Christmas! The streets and shops are bustling with pre-holiday excitement, everyone is buying gifts for under the tree and treats for the festive table. Schoolchildren are looking forward to the New Year holidays and dreaming of getting their toboggans and skis out as quickly as possible.
But this year, winter turned out to be surprisingly warm, and many people hadn't even taken out their winter things yet, since Frost had forgotten about our region.
Dasha and Arisha, with their mother's help, of course, had already decorated a live, fluffy tree, adorned it with garland, colourful pearlescent baubles and various figurines, and placed a small Christmas Star on the very top.
The house was filled with the magical aroma of fresh evergreen, which reminded them even more of the approaching Christmas. Under the tree they placed Grandfather Frost and the Snow Maiden, and right beside them, a place of honour was taken by a little Snowman.
But not everyone was happy about the approaching winter holidays, because no matter how you decorate the house and tree, snow has always been and remains the main attribute, since what is Christmas without snow and frost?
In the evening, when everyone had gone to bed, the little Snowman climbed onto the windowsill and looked sadly out at the street, he so wanted to see real snow, and even more, real Snowmen made from that snow.

The little Snowman addressed Grandfather Frost, standing in his place.
Why is there no snow outside? Surely the real Grandfather Frost hasn't forgotten that Christmas should be snowy?

The Star responded to the little Snowman's words.
Far in the North, there is a place where snow always lies, where the real Grandfather Frost lives. I will help you get there, because I am not an ordinary Star, but a Christmas one, and I can perform miracles. Close your eyes and say quietly: 'Star! Star! Take me to places! Where snow always stays!'
The little Snowman closed his eyes, and before he could finish the necessary words, he disappeared from the room. And in the morning, before it was light outside, the little traveller returned and stood in his place.
He told the Star, Grandfather Frost and the Snow Maiden about his magical journey:
How beautiful it is there and there is so much snow!
The Snowman said enthusiastically.
And besides, I met the real Grandfather Frost and complained that we still have no snow or frost on our street. He was very surprised and promised that on the holiday night he would definitely fix everything and people would definitely have snow.
And when it was completely light, everyone saw large white snowflakes outside the window, slowly falling on the already frost-covered ground.
