One day in the park, a little girl named Nadia was walking with her mother. In Nadia's hands was her favourite toy Piglet, who had a small green ball in his hoof.
The girl always took it with her everywhere. After running around the park paths and getting tired, Nadia and her mother bought ice cream and sat down to rest on a bench. After enjoying their dessert, they decided to go home, but accidentally left Piglet on the bench.
As evening began to fall, the Moon, peeking out from behind a cloud, lit up the evening park and saw Piglet lying on the bench. The soft moonlight touched the toy and brought it to life. But the night sky queen didn't like bright colours, so she took away all the colours that Piglet was painted in.
Piglet was very upset, because he was sure that Nadia would definitely come back for him in the morning, but in this state she wouldn't recognize him and would cry. So Piglet decided to find his colours, jumped off the bench and ran out of the park.
Along the way he met a little mouse, a black dog, and even a crow. Piglet asked them all, but they only shook their heads, not knowing how to help the unfortunate toy.
Piglet ran out to a busy intersection and stopped. Before him shone a Traffic Light with bright eyes. On the big one, three were glowing: red, yellow, and green. There was also a smaller Traffic Light with a red and green figure. They reminded him so much of the colours that were on Piglet that he cried bitterly.
A little three-coloured kitten named Vasya was passing by, and Piglet's crying saddened him greatly. He was sensitive and kind and couldn't leave anyone in trouble. He even helped people cross the road when they needed it: small children, elderly people, and even people with poor vision.
After hearing Piglet's story, Vasya said he would help him and take him to his owner, who was an artist and of course had many paints. But only after Piglet learned the rules for crossing a busy intersection.
The kitten explained that if the red figure is lit, you must stand and wait, and only when the green figure lights up can you cross the road. So they crossed the road several times, and Piglet learned it all. After the lesson was learned, kitten Vasya took his new friend home, where a kind artist was waiting for him.
Learning Piglet's sad story, he happily helped and painted him in bright colours, making him even more beautiful.
Piglet ran back to the park as dawn was breaking, climbed onto the bench, and waited for his beloved owner. When the sun rose higher, Piglet heard the bright, familiar voice of little Nadia and smiled. He would forever remember the night that had passed and the lessons from his new friend, kitten Vasya.
