One day, Noddy asked his friends Bolt and Nut to build a vehicle that could carry all of his mates. Since little Noddy had grown bored in his Flower Town and wanted him and his friends to take a trip across the Cucumber River to see what was happening in other towns.
Bolt and Nut worked for several days, and they built a small bus, just right for the cheerful group.
Noddy called his friends to the central square to make an announcement. When everyone gathered—there was Gumpy, Noddy's best friend, Button, a kind and well-behaved girl, Biscuit, a helpful little fellow, Syrup, and of course, Clever Clogs.

I invite you to take a trip beyond our town and see how other little people live in distant towns! Everyone who wants to come, please take your seats in the bus that our inventors Bolt and Nut have built.

Objected the all-knowing Clever Clogs
How can we go when neither Bolt nor Nut know the road safety rules? Because of this, we could have an accident!

Said the inventors in unison
What's there to know, just steer and steer! The bus will take us wherever we direct it. Why waste time on trifles?
The friends took their seats, Bolt took the wheel, and Nut sat beside him as navigator. And the travellers set off on their journey.
After crossing the bridge over the Cucumber River and driving a bit further along the country road, the travellers turned onto a busy highway. And there were cars everywhere. What to do, where to go next? And the street was starting to get dark.
Bolt stopped the bus on the side of the busy road. The friends jumped out of the vehicle. They started fussing and arguing, and Noddy, for some reason, wanted to run across the road, and then something unexpected happened. In the headlights, the driver of an oncoming car spotted the little fellow too late, braked sharply, and his car crashed into their bus.
They called an ambulance and police officers, who arrived very quickly to help the injured. Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt, and our unfortunate travellers got off with just a fright.
A traffic police officer spoke sternly to Noddy and his friends:
How did it happen that you all ended up on a busy highway in some strange moving vehicle? Do you realise that because of you, a serious accident almost happened?
Firstly, your vehicle has no indicator lights or headlights, and secondly, I don't see reflective elements on any of your clothing
Said the police officer seriously
You must understand that special reflective aids on a pedestrian's clothing are a necessity in the modern world. After all, it's very difficult for a driver to spot a person on the road in the dark. But a reflective element will help the driver see the pedestrian from far away and prevent an accident.
