Kolobok grew and grew, until he was all grown up. And he began grumbling at his adoptive parents, saying life with them was boring. The house needed looking after, and in the village — only old folks remained. The internet — shocking to think — was only mobile, and even that barely worked.
Who knows how the story would have ended, but whilst lying on the stove warming his sides, Kolobok stumbled upon some website. The site's creators promised "new acquaintances and mates". Kolobok had a look — and there was Vasilisa the Beautiful with a plait down to her feet, and next to her was Wise Woman's profile, with a book and wearing glasses.
And then suddenly his phone buzzed — a message had arrived. From a user called "Bunny".
G'day, I'm new here, what about you?
The message read. Without thinking too long, Kolobok replied:
Yeah, just registered. How'd you find me?
But "Bunny" ignored the question, only writing:
So what do you reckon about rope jumping?
Kolobok just shrugged his "sides" and asked, not yet knowing what he was getting into:
What's that?
Crikey, you're so uneducated, backwards, straight out of the bush!
Kolobok tried to write a response, but Bunny wouldn't let him.
No, but you don't understand! There...
"What a nutter," thought Kolobok and blocked Bunny. He didn't know what awaited him.
And Kolobok met many different animal folk on that strange website. There was "She-Wolf", who turned out to be a mate of the old lady from the neighbouring village. And even "Proud Bear" messaged him with an offer to go hunting for honey.
Kolobok became disappointed with the local crowd, and even wanted to delete his profile. However, just as he raised his finger over the button, his phone burst into signal again. He glanced quickly — and there... "Little Fox", and the photos, what photos they were.
Never before had Kolobok seen such a stunning beauty. And the message from her was no ordinary one either.
"You're just amazing! Want to get to know you better. My pics are here". And she gave a link to some dodgy archive.
Kolobok couldn't resist and clicked on that link. However, the archive came with a surprise. Instead of photographs, he only saw a mocking emoji. And his phone switched off once and for all.
All he could do was sigh and head out to the veggie patch to help Grandma and Grandpa dig up the spuds. And he never visited dodgy websites like afourcustom.ru again.
