In a far-off kingdom, in a distant land, there lived a king. And he had three daughters. Three beloved princesses. But the king was always upset, and he greatly disliked that his beautiful daughters constantly did not get along with each other and argued. They quarreled always and everywhere: at dinner, during walks, at social gatherings.
One day during another scandal, something unprecedented happened. It suddenly became dark outside, a terrible thunder crashed, a bright lightning struck. And the princesses transformed... into dogs.
In the evening, before bed, the king went to his daughters to wish them sweet dreams. But his beloved daughters were not there; three little dogs were sitting instead. The king could not imagine that these were his beloved princesses and drove them out of the kingdom.
The princesses wandered around for a long time and eventually found themselves in a large, dense forest. Everything here was new and unfamiliar to them. One sister-dog got her paw stuck in a tree crevice. No matter how hard she tried to pull it out, nothing worked.
Suddenly, another sister-dog approached her. She felt so sorry for her sister that, without hesitation, she helped pull out her paw. Oh, a miracle!!! The dog who had helped immediately transformed back into a girl!
And so they continued on their way. Two dogs walked ahead, and behind them walked a princess-girl. Suddenly, an old man with a large basket of mushrooms appeared in their path. The old man suddenly tripped on a branch, fell, and the basket of mushrooms scattered across the clearing.
One of the dogs quickly rushed to help the old man. She gave him her paw and the old man got up. The dog picked up the basket and collected all the mushrooms. The old man expressed his gratitude, and once again an unprecedented miracle occurred: the dog transformed into a princess.
Now two princess-sisters walked ahead and one dog followed. But suddenly the dog perked up her ears: somewhere far away, someone was crying. She quickly rushed toward the sound of crying. On a small stump sat a little boy. He was very frightened, all alone, and was crying because he did not know how to get out of the thick, dense forest.
The dog's heart ached; she felt so sorry for the boy. The dog showed him the way, accompanying him all the way home. And once again a miracle happened! At that very moment, the last dog became a princess-girl.
The three sisters set off for their kingdom. They missed their father-king very much, so they told him all about their adventures.
The king was overjoyed at the return of his daughters and made them promise that they would never quarrel or argue again.
And the adventure became a good lesson for the sisters.
