One girl sat down
Under a viburnum bush.
And she pondered,
How to live from now on:
— I won't go to kindergarten —
It's become so boring.
I won't listen to adults —
I'm tired of them.
I don't want to learn poems,
I won't braid my hair,
But I want to play, walk,
And ride on roller skates.
Suddenly, footsteps were heard,
The girl stood up
And, a friend coming from afar,
She caught sight of.
She came, sat down nearby,
Bowed her head.
And quietly, almost crying,
She spoke thus:
— They say you must put
All things in their place.
Put clothes away in the closet…
— But it's too tight there!
— They say you must wash
Your own dishes.
— I won't do it.
I don't want to! I won't!
What such complications,
Explain, friend,
I'd rather go to sleep.
Where is my pillow?
But she didn't get to sleep.
A branch bent down,
And with a wreath on her head
The third of the sisters appeared.
I too, girls,
Want to talk.
My dreams and aspirations
Discuss with you.
I very much want to be
A fairy tale character,
Not with a wreath on my head,
But with a golden crown.
And I always want to walk
In a beautiful, bustling square,
And to get there
By helicopter.
Suddenly, out of nowhere,
A fairy appeared.
The sisters quickly stood up,
Not believing their eyes.
The fairy smiled sweetly,
Sang a little song,
And asked the girls,
What would they like?!
The first sister spoke:
— I want to go to the sea,
Lie on the sand to my heart's content,
Frolic in the open space.
— And I want lots of treats:
Cakes, pastries,
Chocolate, marmalade
And a bucket of candy,—
The second girl said all this,
And from future happiness
Laughed loudly.
— Well, I want, — said
The third of the sisters, —
For music to play,
To listen to birds singing,
To visit theaters, balls,
Exhibitions, shows,
About me, like a princess,
Let them write stories.
— Very well, — said the fairy, —
Everything can be done,
But you can change your mind,
While it's not too late.
— No, no, no, — said the sisters, —
We need all this.
To the fulfillment of wishes
We will be very glad!
A swift wind suddenly blew,
The birds fell silent.
Magic was accomplished
For each of the sisters.
So a month passes,… a third,
The first — on the beach
Suffers from the heat,
Applies cream to her body.
The second has diathesis
And her skin is red,
And she can no longer
Look at sweets.
The third is also tired
Of singing and having fun.
The three sisters wanted
To go back home.
Fairy! Fairy! — they cried, —
Bring us back quickly!
We will do everything around the house,
We will become kinder.
We will help mother,
Study well,
Clean up after ourselves,
And not be lazy at all.
The fairy quickly flew in
And looked with reproach.
— Tired? Don't like it?
You wanted this so much!?
Time cannot be turned back,
The days have flown away!
Well, enough grieving.
Here's what I'll tell you:
Before you wish for something —
Think it through well!
