Once upon a time, there lived a little girl called Lisa. She lived with her mum and dad. And living with them was her grandmother, who loved reading fairy tales to her granddaughter—beautiful and magical ones. In Lisa's room, there were many, many cupboards, each filled with lots of books.
Lisa was a very kind girl. And everything would have been fine, if not for one great sorrow—her eyes couldn't see; she was born blind. But despite this misfortune, she believed in miracles and dreamt very often. She had a cherished dream—even if just for a little while, even just once, to see her mum, dad, and grandmother—her whole family.
One evening, as usual, Lisa went to bed. Grandmother read her a bedtime story, tucked her granddaughter in, kissed her, and wished her goodnight. Lisa fell fast asleep.
And suddenly the whole room was illuminated by rays of bright light; the room became as bright as day. This was the Fairy Tale who had come to visit the girl and lit up her room with a magic lantern.
She gently tugged Lisa's shoulder and said:
Wake up, Lisa, it's time for us to go!
What? Where are we going and how? I can't see anything!
Lisa said in surprise.
Don't you want to start seeing?
Of course I do! My dearest wish is to see Mum, Dad, and Grandmother! But is it really possible?
Everything is possible, you just have to want it very, very much! Let's fly!

The Fairy Tale pointed towards a toy—a pink unicorn that the girl's father had given her for her birthday. The Fairy Tale touched the toy with her magic lantern, and the unicorn came to life. He flapped his wings, scooped up Lisa and the Fairy Tale, and soared upwards.
They flew through the night sky, stars sparkled all around, and the moon lit their way.
And at last they arrived on the Moon. Before them stood a beautiful palace with golden windows. Surrounding the palace was a lovely garden where different flowers bloomed and bright, colourful, long-tailed birds flew about. The unicorn rushed off to nibble the grass, because he was very hungry. Lisa ran to smell the flowers. And the Fairy Tale sat down on a tree stump and began searching for something in a magic book.
Lisa ran up to the Fairy Tale and asked:
What are you looking for?
I want to find the magic words that will help us restore your sight.
The Fairy Tale replied.
For a long time she turned page after page, and suddenly exclaimed:
I've found it! You need to wait until morning and at dawn wash your face with lunar dew from all these flowers. The lunar dew is magical and your eyes will be able to see. At last you'll see your mum, dad, and grandmother.
The Fairy Tale said to Lisa.
Lisa couldn't wait for morning and didn't close her eyes all night.
Morning came, on the Moon the little birds began to wake and sing their clear songs. Beautiful flowers opened and dew sparkled on their petals.
Lisa went to each flower, collected the dew in a crystal bowl, and washed her eyes. And suddenly light illuminated everything around her; before her she saw the Fairy Tale—a beautiful, lovely young woman with long, wavy, golden-coloured hair.
Can it be that I can see! There's so much that's interesting, amazing, and beautiful all around! Can it be that this isn't a dream and all this really happened to me?
The girl squeezed her eyes tightly shut and… woke up at home in her own bed.
Mum, Dad, I can see! I can see, I'm better!
Lisa cried out.
Mum, Dad, and Grandmother rushed into the room.
You're all so beautiful! This is exactly how I imagined you!
Lisa said.
That's the kind of magical story that happened to the girl Lisa. But was it really the Fairy Tale?
