Once upon a time, there was a city called Drearyton. The city was located at the foot of a mountain. Its name was fitting for a reason. Living in it were people — Drearytonians, who had never experienced joy in their lives. Their life was simple and ordinary. There were no bright posters on the streets, no beautiful buildings, no theater had ever visited the city, and the people had never even heard of a circus.
Moreover, Drearyton had no shops with good quality goods. When they met on the street, passersby would ask each other:
Could you tell me where I can buy a beautiful dress?
Do you know where they sell fragrant soap here?
Have you seen where I can buy warm boots with beautiful clasps?
Children also never attended children's matinees, never tasted delicious ice cream and chocolate candies, and often asked their parents:
Mom, Dad, what is cinema? And why doesn't our city have trampolines where we can jump and have fun?
Parents could only shrug their shoulders, because they truly didn't know where to go or how to spend weekends with their children.
So the residents of the dull and underdeveloped Drearyton lived, not knowing that their city actually had absolutely everything: children's entertainment centers with trampolines and attractions, cafes with delicious ice cream, and shops with fragrant soap and quality perfumes.
On the other side of the mountain was another city called Happyville. People drove in beautiful expensive cars, used expensive cosmetics, and bought quality and delicious products. Happy joyful children ran through green, beautiful parks, rode on attractions and jumped on trampolines. Every day on the main square of the city, concerts were held where famous artists performed, competitions were held and prizes were given away.
This beautiful city was ruled by King Adverticus and was helped by little advertisers. For their dear residents, they did everything to make their lives easy, cheerful and joyful — they opened new shops with beautiful toys, brought quality goods from abroad, beautiful clothes and delicious products.
One day, on advertising business, King Adverticus set out on a business trip. He took all his attributes for a happy life and a car that could fly, swim, and drive. Long ago, a friend inventor had given him this car. And since the King hadn't slept the evening before, after flying a hundred kilometers, he fell asleep at the wheel.
Opening his eyes, the King of Advertising was bewildered. Everything around was gray and drab: dull houses, sad people.
Hey, tell me, what city is this?
King Adverticus asked a passerby.
Drearyton.
The sad man answered slowly, and without turning around, walked past.
Hearing the name of the city, King Adverticus understood that he had found himself in a dull, uninteresting city, where there was no goodness, joy, laughter and… advertising, which would help people become happier.
And then King Adverticus decided:
I absolutely must help these unfortunate people! How can I do this?
And then King Adverticus remembered his cherished box, which his father had left him long ago, and his father had received from his father. This box was not ordinary; it contained thousands of advertising leaflets, thanks to which people learned about new types of services, about the arrival of new goods, about children's holidays.
The King took out the box, closed his eyes, and with the words "One, two, three" sent the leaflets into the sky. Suddenly everything around was illuminated by bright light, music began to play, and crowds of happy smiling people suddenly appeared on the streets. Advertising had come to the city!
Now you could buy everything here — toys, candies, beautiful bright clothes, travel packages, tickets, and everything your heart desires.
From that day on, the city was renamed Festivalville!
